  • In general, this corresponds to the way people of the political left want to see the conflict represented. Of course, Muslims expect it to be: essentially to take the Palestinian side and to portray Israel as a genocidal regime. I supported Jimmy Wales when he intervened in the article “Gaza genocide” and said, maybe he should not be called that and the introduction should contain more about the Israeli perspective. … I don’t even defend Israel very much. Israel has clearly done some wrong things, the Palestinians too.

And what the fuck is this “Israeli perspective”? Holy fucking shit the enlightened centrism here is disgusting. Having a ‘neutral tone’ doesn’t equate to putting both objective reality and utter bullshit on the same level. No neutral encyclopedia needs to put “but flat Earth is another plausible explanation” at the beginning of an article about Earth, the same way they don’t need to put “Pallywood muslims might be getting killed on camera for TikTok” in an article about what is happening in Gaza. Israel is objectively committing a genocide. Anybody who denies this, or says that “But Palestinians are bad too!!” is a disgusting shitstain upon humanity.

  • The only party that is actively aggressively campaigning for trans rights is DEM right now lmao. CHP has up to this point been completely quiet on trans issues (except for 1 MP I forgot the name of, who is also seen as a “terror sympathizer” by the public), and YENİ just recently published the statement that “Nobody will face discrimination for their sexual orientation/gender identity”, which is kinda the bare minimum ngl.

If YENİ comes to power, I’d guess at most we will get rid of the 21 year old age limit Erdogan put. We definitely aren’t getting the WPATH SoC though, especially with some “opposition” parties like İYİ who are conservative anti-LGBTQ Kemalists that broke off from a literal neofascist party, and who will surely side against us when push comes to shove.

Well, I hope Kilicdaroglu fucking drops out already so at the very least we can have that.

  • When you say ban stuff from abroad, you mean they search packages coming from abroad?

Sorry, it turns out that what I had heard before was exaggerated. It seems that they used to tax stuff you bought from abroad only if it passed 30 euros, but now they’re doing it for anything you buy, even if it costs like a dollar, and the taxation rates are pretty bad (30% for products from the EU, 60% for other countries, and an additional 20% for electronics, personal care products etc.). I could try it I guess but I would really need to save money for it.

Also in Turkey you can get estradiol over the counter? Without a prescription? That sounds really cool!

Yup! That is pretty nice c:

  • Androcur is 1800TRY (~40USD) in my country and it would take me some saving up just to spend that much lol. Another reason I can’t get vials is my country has effectively banned getting anything from abroad.

My current intention is to just test out its effects for a month or so, using OTC estradiol meds which are pretty cheap (Climen is 75TRY but Turkey is seeing a supply shortage of it for some reason, and Cyclo-Progynova is 150TRY but it seems I can only use half a package of it because of norgestrel). I don’t think that monotherapy is possible with these 🙁
