I get that, but I don’t even mean it in that sense. A corporation should not have any control over what I do whatsoever unless I’m their employee.

Even if you’re morally opposed to the various things this addresses, it is so immensely concerning and unwise to want a corporation to have this much control over your actions, daily life, and liberty.

I don’t think enough people talk about that.

I’m a rookie back in the Linux world after 15 years in windows hell, but Proxmox is hard if you’re new to Linux. I didn’t have the patience. I’d install mint on the nvme itself, let it get going, see if anything persists. Best of luck!

Almost 38, I spend all my free time with my wife. Started off more balanced before we moved for my work, and the more I focused on time with her, the happier we were. I hang out with work friends occasionally.

My pre marriage friends became vile, Trump-worshipping, incel assholes, so I am very content with my decisions.

I’ve seen rebuttals that this was an advertising firm embellishing capabilities to sell themselves, which…maybe. But I have too many anecdotal experiences to believe that.

Last month, my wife and I talked about how we hate Morgan Wallen. Never even typed his name until this post. And yet, after the discussion, she had IG sponsored posts for his out of state concert and Alexa had ads for him on Amazon music. Both within 2 days of the conversation.

I threw out the Alexa, increased Pinhole block lists, and we just leave our phones in another room in airplane mode for some topics.

Fully agree! It’s so much work and so incredible to look at and admire. Art deco too for the same reasons.
