I assumed it was a really dark joke about missing First Nations women

They’re actually way more convenient than that! You have a strap on the inside of the window that you can use to raise or lower the shutters as much as you like. When it’s fully closed, the light is blocked out nearly completely though.
If I’m interpreting the other poster correctly, they might be referring to what’s known as Roll-Laden in German, and they’re outside the glass.
I live in a garden level apartment (I think, it’s mostly underground with one exterior wall above ground for windows, set into a hill) and it’s extremely energy efficient. We do have to use dehydrators, but that can be done in very energy-efficient ways.
The apartments above us are significantly less energy efficient, so the big drawback I see is around housing density, which is probably a bigger issue than heating/cooling energy, but I don’t actually know.
That’s you indulging in your fears about cultural change through a straw man, obviously it will disgust you. Luckily it’s not real, so you can focus on other things.
Does that matter? It’s not an attack on Americans: Europeans, Japanese people and South Koreans also use more than their fair share, along with many other countries, roughly correlated with wealth.
I think we agree, lol. Richer areas use more resources and poorer areas use fewer. It’s not 1:1, but it’s pretty close.
Certainly, but those are the wealthy regions, which don’t really fit into the “developing” stage anymore imo. They’re more developed than the (mainland) UK was when the terminology became common.
Afaik, Americans use about 20% of the world’s resources with about 4% of the population. China and India both do use a lot of resources, but they’re also a third of the world’s population
In the study, Professor Henneberg and colleagues aimed to investigate the prevalence of persistent median arteries in postnatal humans over the last 250 years and to test the hypothesis that a secular trend of increase in its prevalence has occurred.
That’s a fun new definition of “secular”
The best unexpected“perk” of a job I’ve ever had was at a restaurant where we served a beet salad. Twice a week, the kitchen would cook and mandoline the beets, then let them dry off a little on baking sheets. The chef was incredibly annoyed that I would regularly steal something that literally left me red-handed, but they were too good to resist.
You actually just need a LOT of stimulation, same as women. It’s not a fun or recommended way to start lactating, but it’ll do the trick
To be fair, that would be a good source of riboflavin.
The heat fills my brain and I can’t think about anything else
A DP with a two stroke? Damn
Eh, they were trying to be helpful. They shouldn’t feel embarrassed about it, it’s a good thing to do.
Also I would not have made the urine-IP address connection without that comment, I just thought they were rambling into nonsense.
And NAACP is still around, even with a name that was offensive 40 years ago, because a) it’s clearly not intended to offend; and b) the name recognition is incredibly helpful: I hear NAACP, I think W.E.B. DuBois and Thurgood Marshall.
💦👏🧴👏💦 damn. That’s really the closest you can get
