A few researchers have found that blue zones, i.e. regions with a higher proportion of people above 100, was primarily caused by to poor government records and pension fraud. This was found in Italy, Greece, and Japan. Lots of faulty assumptions were made about diets and propagated widely.

I mostly do wildlife photography so I wear my camera crossed across my shoulders and resting at my hip. This makes it very comfortable to hike around with the weight of the camera and lens.
Unless it hits a tree, and the tree explodes. That happened to me last week right outside my house. I’ve never heard anything quite as loud nor with such a large thump in my body. Felt a bit like my bell got rung for the rest of the day.

I generally agree, but they are damn good at programming and only getting better. Can they build a software solution without an expert? No. But they can replace many junior devs.

DeepSeek just released a model that is much cheaper to run and performs just as well as most GPT and Claude models. This is their reaction to try limit the damage from DeepSeek.
You can run some pretty neat local AI agents on consumer grade hardware without much issue. There are also new models that will run on phone hardware. They won’t write complicated programs, but they work well for assistant things.
Too bad it backfired on Mexico.

To be fair, there is a way to bet in craps that minimizes the house odds and gets it to a roughly 52% chance the house will win. This is very simple and pretty boring, i.e. not much of a system. As it turns out, these are the lowest house odds for any game found in a casino.

I can touch type, but not with proper form. I use a really fast “hunt and peck” method with my two index fingers and my other fingers for specific keys such as backspace, shift, space, ctrl, etc. I can typically type between 70 - 80 wpm with high accuracy.

The taste of a spice like cumin will be highly dependent on the age of the seed and if it is ground or not. Ground spices oxidize quickly and lose a lot of volatile compounds which contribute to their depth. To taste cumin properly, it is best to lightly toast whole cumin seeds and then crush/ grind them. The difference between the store bought ground cumin is night and day.
