Technically lots of things people call “malware” don’t actually do any of those things. Oh and it installed a cd driver that made it impossible to copy their music.

No its common for anti-cheat on Windows to have full root permission to your entire system Windows users are just on average less intelligent, less concerned about privacy, and, more ignorant about technology. Yes any country that hosts a terrorist militia should both shut it down and make peace with its neighbors. Israel should offer peace in exchange for all hostages and a lawfully administered democratic Palestinian state protected by the UN but without arms for a period of time. Unlawful Israeli settlements should be ceded to this state.
All these things are worth doing and benefit everyone except hard liners on both side which have aspirations that range from unlawful to unrealistic.
Instead of achieving any extreme ends of either party the results of current strategy is likely to be a permanent state of suffering that will directly or indirectly harm millions. Their lifes and times are worth saving.
In what universe can a 100,000 man army launch attacks against your neighbor whilst operating out of your home country funded and manned by your nation and not be at war?
It would be like having the Texas national guard launching rockets into Mexico. The US and Mexico would be at war. Proxy war as a sub for actual war only works when you are strong enough your adversary is disinclined to respond to your provocation. Imagine hiring goons and visibly directing them to break your neighbors windows and thinking that you can stay out of the scuffle.
Critique Israel all you like and I do as well. I don’t feel like Lebanon has any right to complain that Israel is striking them. They should commit to stopping the attacks and they and Israel should make peace.

VOLTE is a hard requirement. Continuing to support them would require entire installations all over the country to be repaired, maintained, and installed in support of hardware that was mostly 7-12 years old long past expected lifespan. It’s like the opposite of the Windows 11 thing.
There are a few fundamental differences here.
One: the existing hardware isn’t lacking anything functional that the user requires. While it may be more secure implemented with TPM 2.0 its far from a hard requirement. After all bitlocker works on 10. The fact that you can presently work around it suggests the limitation is imposed from on high not a hardware requirement.
Two: The hardware isn’t all that old. General duty cycle on a phone is around 3 years, about 6 years on a PC. Apple has dropped support for 6 year old phones and 10 year old PC. Especially because intel continues to manufacturer a given CPU long after launch and OEMs continue to integrate them people are going to find machines that they bought new off the shelf within the last 3 years unsupported which unlike a 10 year old Mac feels like a rug pull.

You guys are talking past one another. It’s extremely common at a population level insofar as its happening literally many times per day at the population level. It is not extremely likely at the individual level because the vehicle miles driven per carjacking is massive with most people never getting car jacked.
That isn’t how any of this works. My health has been bad for years I don’t have much to lose by putting live squirrels up my ass and setting my hair on fire! See how fucking stupid that sounds? When circumstances are especially bad there is more not less need for wise leadership.

My concern twofold
A: Without evidence I have a hard time seeing planting bombs in devices was solely targeted at fighters. Odds are an entire shipment was targeted and many people who weren’t Hezbollah received bombs
B: Blowing up devices that were by definition carried everywhere certainly killed families and associates who didn’t deserve to die.
During the Iraqi war we considered Iraqi leadership targets and I wouldn’t have been surprised if they considered our leadership targets as well. If they had in fact only killed Hezbollah I would have no problem with the attack.
It’s a mistake to imagine most regulation is just brainless nonsense. It would be like imagining the entire legal industry is composed of burglars suing home owners because they slipped in the kitchen whilst robbing the house and concluding we could easily do away with it.
Looser regulations is incredibly unlikely to effect only or even mostly the stupid or even only or even mostly the poor. Firstly the primary food supply for rich and poor right up to the 1% generally comes from the same ultimate sources the rich just A) mix some more expensive stuff in B) have people who fetch and prepare the food for them.
Also people are incredibly laughably bad at enacting food safety by voting with their feet even when a particular restaurant is making people sick. Oftentimes the actual sickness may take days to manifest and may not be connected obviously with the ultimate source. Now that is for things that at least directly sicken people. Things that are merely unhealthy may have an ultimate effect that is only visible at the population level where you see significantly more people get cancer in the next 10 to 20 years.
