14·1 month agoI used to use emojis in my documentation very lightly because I thought they were a good way to provide visual cues. But now with all the people vibe coding their own readme docs with freaking emojis everywhere I have to stop using them.
Mildly annoying.

Sync for Lemmy@lemmy.world•"Invalid login" error despite correct login?English
2·4 months agoYeah it’s really unfortunate. I think having no communication makes it worse. If the developer would just say something, it would be a lot better. I hope they are doing well at least though. Sync has been such a wonderful app for so many years and I’ve used it since the reddit days as well.
Summit is also great too. Sometimes I will use it instead of Voyager/Boost. In the end there are a lot of decent and usable apps at least. It’s a shame Sync is no longer viable.

Done.
Very unfortunate it has come to this but zero communication might be the biggest slap in the face. I’m glad the work from the developer was such high quality over the years (from Reddit to here) and I do not regret spending money on this app, including the absurd pricing for the Lemmy version … but for the app to be abandoned without any communication feels bad man.
At very least just say something. Oh well. I hope they are doing well and are healthy at least. There are bigger things in life than stuff like this. But in the future, I hope developers in general can just say if they are going to abandon an app or not.
