So the brands I used were from local restaurants but Hunts has a brand with no extra sugar that is well regarded.

Taxpaying proles will foot the bill somehow.
Yeah regular ketchup is too sweet and ditto on not being fond of raw tomatoes either but the more savory kinds of ketchup or other tomato products are fine imo.

Not that Elon “nailed” anybody, his kids are all from IVF allegedly, which is even more embarrassing than just having multiple kids from different women.
And they’re only ever sons too (going by gender assigned by birth).

World News@lemmy.world•‘There is profound disappointment in him’: mood in Russia turns against PutinEnglish
13·13 days agoThose hamberders and old age will catch up to Trump any second now. He’s already had a mini-stroke on national TV. Putin is 7 years younger and is health conscious to the point it was memed on, But unlike Trump, Putin seems to know he’s in over his head and is looking to contain fallout from this invasion. Dr. William Spaniel thinks ‘Putin is done’ talk is overblown though acknowledges things don’t look great at all for Putin in Ukraine or domestically.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What are your thoughts on people who are against pacifism?
2·13 days agoPopular modern peaceful movements led by people such as Martin Luther King in the US and Ghandi in colonial India were parallel backed by violent groups such as the Black Panthers in the US and a bunch of small and very active violent groups in India.
Keep in mind with King (I’m not so studied up on Gandhi), optics played a big role. You had squeaky clean pillars of the community and schoolchildren being attacked by police dogs, hoses, and baton wielding police for daring to ask for equality. The US actually had decent journalism back then so they looked horrible on the world stage as the US was positioning itself as the leader of a free world. America’s arm was twisted into giving black people nominal rights with token representation while surreptitiously undermining both.
I’m not so sure the threat of armed black people made the government acquiesce. The state loves nothing more than a pretext for violence.

7·13 days agoChinese models are really good. How you use them depends on what your goals are. If you want something on par with Claude or ChatGPT, you need to go to Deepseek or Qwen’s website. You can also find these models on openrouter. If you want a local/small model, then get ollama and find a model in the repository. You could also get anythingllm or LM Studio and get models from within the app. There’s also huggingface.
Since you asked about safety, deepseek on the official website does collect info and there was a time some of that info was leaked but you can get around that using something like openrouter. Note similar things happened to ChatGPT and Meta AI. There is also the potential for bias (there was a time people were spamming their Deepseek Tiananmen Square responses – personally, it just would not process my query) but Grok has that same issue.

The EU is establishing their own alternative to Visa and Mastercard. I wonder if they give the US the finger and let Cuba process payments with them.
