The glimpse:
It is one good thing that somehow survived 90’s chaos - public transport.
One year pass for all ČD trains cost about 900 €/year; most cities have year pass under 200€.
Somebody…
I listened to it as podcast, thanks to NewPipe. But yeah it is one of their longer videos.
Yes for the basic thing most people buy it and it is this fucked up. Also it uses Google maps, they are bit useless for cycling.
I have more mapping apps and all of them have offline planning.
Sorry not native speaker, thanks for correction.
Thanks I give it a try, problem for me is that I need to plan route and then put it in cyclocomputer. I don’t need any other bs.
I would like to find alternative to Garmin app. It is bad if you don’t want to use the cloud features, also you can’t plan routes without internet connection like wtf that’s the only reason I bought it for.
What do you mean phitoshoped? Irl the Bled lake looks also that blue.
In CZ there is this weird mix of people who really want to change it for better, bureaucracy red tape, NIMBY’s and people who don’t care. So the projects move slowly and sometimes even planners are pissed that they are changed in process.
The public transport is generally good, sometimes even in rural areas. Cycling infrastructure is sometimes hit or miss and isn’t considered much.
Thank drm for these issues and it is also a reason why this won’t be implemented any time soon.

It averages about 1 post per week but it certainly isn’t dead.
It was choice between that or leave it for first car that would drive there.
There are few things to look for and it all depends on what bike you want.
derailleurs and shifters: With friction shifting you can slap any derailleur on bike and it will work. Otherwise look at the brand, model and number of speeds, they can have different cable pull standard that isn’t in production.
bottom bracket: It is mess of different standards but it shouldn’t be problem sourcing replacements.
frame: Good steel frame will outlive all the other components, so look at the mounting points for them. Flat mount disc brakes or type of V brakes, BB diameter and type,…
fork: Go for rigid fork if you want less things to worry about.
Basically look for all the parts, how to buy them, change them, if they require special tools…
