If they’ve stopped engineering, then they probably weren’t good in the first place, what skills they had are rusty, and their knowledge is out of date.
I’d argue programming languages are like natural languages. Use it or lose it.

By idiots I mean the people who haven’t engineered in years.
The subject of the article.
Seems self-evident.

Still five nines of uptime — 79.9999%.

Great. The “why don’t you just…” idiots are “writing” code again and not reviewing it.
What could go wrong?

You’re right. I can’t make a better argument for shutting down nuclear plants than you have.

So nuclear plants are both too fragile to accept a couple degrees increase in the river water AND are polluting thermal waste (in addition to radioactive waste).
You really think this is an argument-winner?
Especially in a world where wind and solar power is plentiful and becoming more so?

You don’t know anything about nuclear power.
They need cool water to operate. The river was too hot to safely cool the plant.
They don’t give a shit about dumping hot (polluted) water downstream.

Ah yes, it’s that green nuclear I keep hearing about.

That phallic nose isn’t helping the matter.

Great, now do apartments.

Oh no how unfortunate.
It worked for that Irish referendum.
Wow. They really care about kids suddenly.
The War Criminals.
