I’m not entirely sure, but if you look here https://github.com/TecharoHQ/anubis/tree/main/data/bots
They have separate configs for each bot. https://github.com/TecharoHQ/anubis/blob/main/data/botPolicies.json
Hey, I’m a 3D artist, bass player, and a bad programmer.
I’m self-hosting everything I can, and have been using Linux since Ubuntu 14.04. (Arch btw exclusively since 2019)
My first account on here was over at .ml about a year before the whole Reddit shtstorm. (@princesszelda, yoink)
Also on blahaj @snugglebutt@lemmy.blahaj.zone

Yeah, from what I understand it’s nothing crazy for any regular client, but really messes with the bots.
I don’t know, I’m just so glad and happy it works, it doesn’t mess with federation and it’s barely visible when accessing the sites.
Yup, unless that’s a sofa backrest and they’re being held up by velcro tape lol. Their heads are level with their bodies and they’re laying on their backs, which is how trancing happens.
Maybe don’t delete the post so more people know about this? (if they check the comments)
Mandatory PSA. https://rabbitwelfare.co.uk/trancing/ It may look cute, but you should never trance buns.
Actually looking at ctop… I think they’re only mentioning the lemmy server itself in the docs. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Yeah I’m not really sure about the RAM usage, I guess technically the lemmy server itself is eating 150.
Reminds me of when my Jellyfin container kept growing its log because of something watchtower related. Think it ended up at 100GB before I noticed. Not even debug, just failed updates I think. It’s been a couple of months.
In my experience, git forges are especially hit hard
Is that why my Forgejo instance has been hit twice like crazy before…
Why can’t we have nice things. Thank you!
EDIT: Hopefully Photon doesn’t get in their sights as well. Though after using the official lemmy webui for a while, I do really like it a lot.
I did find this github link as the first search result, looks interesting, thanks for letting me know the term “tar pit”.
Not gonna lie, the $3900/mo at the top of the /pricing page is pretty wild.
Searched “crowdsec docker” and they have docs and all that. Thank you very much, I’ve heard of crowdsec before, but never paid much attention, absolutely will check this out!
Just updated the post again, yeah. But I think that was due to me changing nameservers for my domain at the time. Cheers.
