Oh, I won’t worry about that, even if things go bad, it’s an already established universe with lots of fans, perfect for their next live service game setting.

At the time I was sure Elop is some kind of undercover agent from Microsoft.

We were just talking about how many games River City series has, and they released another one right away 😀

Ooh, nice! Will ping you for tips when I start my first play through!

How far along are you? And is it your first playthrough?

Not doing the story missions in Xenoblade? You were very near the end, IIRC.
I didn’t do the Red Lobster quest, and reading about this I am glad I didn’t. Would’ve been super annoyed by it.
I recall discussing this here before, but can’t find the post. Have you played MH: Rise? Is it worth playing it or should I skip it and go directly for Wilds? Just saw that Rise was on a sale.
I have never been able to finish a single World of Light run. Don’t remember where I was stuck, any general tips?

Ah, well that’s the best time to catch up to older games!

What’s the next big game you are looking forward to?

Just looked it up, there are 8 River City games on Switch. 5 new ones since 2019, the other 3 are remakes or older games.
I played the first one in 2013, and loved it. Darksiders 2 I played much later, in 2023 and felt dated to me, though you play more retro games so your mileage may vary.

Yeah, have heard similar things before. It’s already on my list, but as you know I have a very long list, but with sequel coming out soon will bump it up.

Well, there is Mario Tennis Fever, but I am not sure. I enjoy sports game, but not sure if it’s worth $70 for me. Will check out the details about the solo content and then decide.
There’s also Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, but I still have 3, 1 and 2 to play before that, so no hurry about that.

Hehe, I can understand that, Donkey Kong Country games are really tough, at least in the last couple of worlds.
I have to start River City game, there are so many now. Trying to catchup to older series, so will probably get around to it somewhere this year. Let’s see.
Wow, 35 years! That’s worth celebrating! Have fun!

More companies should do that.
The free update part, not the Game-Key Card part.

Time for me to finally play Tokyo Xanadu!

As someone who doesn’t follow much social media, I thought it was pretty good.
I would’ve been annoyed if this was an official Direct, but this was the Partner Direct, and it showed a good variety of games, IMO. I remember when these were filled with half a dozen different farming games and everyone used to complain about it, now there’s a good mixture of games from different genres, including AAA.

Culdcept looked good, didn’t know it’s such a long running series.

That is a problem with long running series, for instance my biggest complain with Pokémon is that they just keep making the same game without trying new things, so the balance of doing something new but also keeping with the core of the series can be a tough challenge.
As for the Zelda games, they will probably make something new / different now, but I don’t think they will go back to the old formula. We will just have to wait and see.

Yeah, doesn’t sound like Nintendo is for you anymore. If you are still interested, you can try looking at existing library in a few years and see if it something catches your eye, otherwise just ignore the console.
Have fun wherever your play!

Heh, didn’t expect a golf joke here.
Thanks, decided to go for Rise first, but wont’ be getting it in current sale, will do it after I have finished the games I am already playing.
As for World of Light, I am playing on Normal, not sure if you can go easier, but it has been a long while, will give it another look.
