Projection. Remember during the first few days of the war when Russia issued a statement saying that the era of the West was over?

Serious questions here. The world, by design, has arid zones around the tropics. If we heat up the planet, does that mean deserts pop up in other places? Like, will the Sahara and Cape Town turn green, but Spain and Italy and Argentina turn to desert? And if that’s the case, will hurricanes more often frequent New England, but less frequent Florida? Also, isn’t one of the major reasons we have hurricanes in the first place due to Sahara seeding them? If less desert then…?
Have y’all seen the pictures of chimney rock?
When you say paid…
Right? Why do civilizations fight wars anyway? If not flat out colonialism and dick measuring, then It’s usually for resources, maybe protection for cultural exclaves if it serves the nation’s geopolitical interest.
All that is to say, Russians are not Chinese. And I don’t think many Eastern Russians would welcome the switch. So, China would be instigating a lot of strife for minimal gains.
Taiwan on the other hand, I can at least understand. I don’t agree with the stance, not in the least, primarily because I believe democracy is superior to communism. Nevertheless, if I had my adversaries 100 miles off my border and their existence hampered me economically and militarily, then I absolutely would subjugate them in any way possible.
I’d donate a few dollars a month. Newgrounds is a great content creation space. I still play games there from time to time. The Mario 63 game is off the wall. Dead Estate is also a fantastic retro style shooter like the ones I remember from my childhood. I think places like this need to survive.
A drizzle, about as much I’d apply as chocolate sauce to vanilla ice cream.
There’s a brand called Fage that is kinda expensive but super thick. It’s not runny like other yogurts seem to be. It’s my go to when I have a bit of extra funds. Add some granola, strawberries, maybe some honey or walnuts, cinnamon, vanilla, whatever to your hearts content.
One other thing I should emphasize. A combination of yogurt and honey is fucking delicious.
I think you’d find that Fage doesn’t give that same slimy yuck factor that other yogurts do. It’s denser than Chobani or Stoneybrook (maybe equivalent to Skyr?) In any case, I think it more so has the texture of whipped topping.
I don’t get it all the time, because it is expensive, but when I do, it’s a treat.
Endive it will. It’s as if her ice bergled the rest of her face.
And that scientists name? Albert Einstein.
It won’t be him if he attends anyway. He’s too much a coward to go himself.
A lot of us migrated months ago when the writing was on the wall.
Kbin became my home when I decided to move to a smaller foreign county, and I’m glad it was, because the land of Mastodon was a bit too distant for me. When the Kbin house was burning down, fortunately the next door neighbor, Fedia, was there to take me in and make things feel familiar.
I suppose that’s the whole advantage of the Fediverse. One head of the hydra may get chopped down, but many others can spring out from it.
Don’t forget to support your admins y’all.
So then they’ll move here, not such a bad deal.
But then, who makes sure that ActivityPub doesn’t sell out?
Yuge! > here, you forgot this.
Assassinating someone in cold blood in Berlin’s main public square, then not cooperating with authorities, garnering a whole lot of brownie points from authoritarian leader Putin….
These are not the values we should encourage nor emulate.

True that, I just took a look at the FAQ and it still references kbin.
Question, how do we donate to this project?
Saying things out in the open that have long been shadow policy. Remember it was Russia and China that helped push SK troops out of NK when the war was hot 70 years ago. The hermit kingdom continues to exist because of aid from those countries.
For a long time the world was mostly aligned that more nuclear armed countries added risk, slowing proliferation, but there’s a reason the great powers key allies somehow seemed to still implement successful nuclear programs.
This is exactly how I found out my refrigerator was running.
