It’d be as if a huge asteroid were falling toward Earth, and no one was trying to stop it.

Of course, teachers don’t know how to help. What can kids be told? Recycling was easy, there was something they could do, even if it was mostly bullshit. This is beyond any one person to solve, and the people we’re electing to lead don’t GAF.

Oh, but here’s some “good news”, some schools are letting cops in to train kids to narc on their parents for drugs. So, we have that at least. /s

What can kids be told? Not to despair for one. That never helped anybody. Make them aware who the real culprits are (obscenely rich people) and how to fight them and their attempts at manipulation. Teach them critical thinking, how to identify and combat misinformation and propaganda. Tell them how to organize, protest and be politically active.

I get ya as we really needed to step up the game in 2k and we did quite the opposite. I think citizen kong has a good point that all they can do is their core function and teach critical thinking.
