Best case scenario at this point is that both China and the US are successful in neutering each other’s foreign power.
I doubt either will be neutered, in the near future; heavily curtailed is a starting point.

The word without action is merely a dream. Sacrifices will need to be made, even up to human life. That doesn’t necessitate bloodlust though.
