Doubt. A car doubles it’s CO2 output from manufacturing in around 3-10 years, depending on size. There’s no way an SUV EV hasn’t recouped the difference in manufacturing CO2 vs a gas SUV by like year 1.
The point is SUVs and large cars are using up limited resources and if it takes significantly more battery material to make a battery for a heavy car it might make more sense to prioritize smaller car manufacture.
