So… Like I won’t have to keep re-pairing the controller when switching devices? I switch between my PC and the PS5 a lot and I hate having to plug it physically into the console to reconnect it to that.

I feel like Sony has been listening to me complaining about this. Because it’s been frequently lately.

That already exists. It’s just very few games actually use it. And yes, I do mean via BT. I have at least 2 that support everything but the microphone over Bluetooth. They are both from this year. Expedition 33 and I can’t remember the other one because I didn’t like it as much. I’ll have to go through what I’ve played this year to find it because it does deserve props for the controller feature support.

There’s not a lot that support the triggers via wired connection, either, tho. But it does appear to be changing for the better with recent games. At least a lot are now supporting the basic button prompts and vibration in either case.

Oh yah, I just want it for my whole backlog of games that support triggers and haptics wired… wishful thinking, I know.

So far I’ve just used it for Returnal, Pacific Drive, Cyberpunk, and Metro for the triggers and haptics. It would just be nice to have those games work through BT. Or even using the gyro and standard rumble in Ship of Harkinian wirelessly, that would rock.

Oh that’s neat. I occasionally use my controller on the Steam Deck and it’s a pain having to re-pair the PS5 each time. Hopefully this system will be compatible with the Deck.

I first read that as “prevents pairing” and thought that was typical of Sony. But this looks positive.
