    It’s not a crime if you wear a hi viz vest and say the city/town sent you. I mean it is, but no one’s gunna look into it.

      You know you can get signs that say “Community Garden” printed on UV resistant plastic. You can just mount them wherever you want.

      Iirc it’ll be less of a crime if you explicitly don’t say that. On the other hand wearing a hi viz vest with a clipboard would usually detter people from bothering you.

        You don’t harvest someone else’s food silly, you find an abandoned or secluded plot that no one’s using and plant your own food crops there

      Most municipalities do either not care or actually like it, as long as you do it on public property and it is clearly better then the current situation. So badically a site with a lot of weed.
