They also risk losing their near-global dominance if all their tech savvy users pick a new home and trigger a chain reaction bringing everyone with them. Next thing you the rest of the world starts ditching WhatsApp for a superior alternative (which predominantly just lack users currently)
No way this passes. If it does I imagine WhatsApp will withdraw from the market and people will hop to session/matrix/element/signal or jailbreak.
