Just saying, not even the government of China has managed to fully block VPNs. So if you really wanted to, there’s always a way. The only country that has successfully banned VPNs is North Korea, and they did it by disconnecting the entire country from the Internet.

Don’t they have exactly 1 Steam user, or something? They didn’t disconnect the “entire” country…

      Edit: yep: https://www.pcgamer.com/software/platforms/north-koreas-only-steam-user-disappeared-yesterday-but-not-to-worry-theyre-back-and-gaming-harder-than-ever/

The access to the real internet is restricted to a select number of elites and foreigners. Everyone else uses a private network called Kwangmyong.

Yeah, recaptcha is dumb. I was annoyed that I have to do it every 20 minutes while binge watching, so I installed a plugin to do it for me. So now an AI solves for me the test to check if I’m not an AI.

What‽ Okay I’ve not been using any streaming service since I found Jellyfin but what service interuots every 20min with a Captcha? Or any amount of watching with a Captcha?

Of course. They know you are a adult human target, so they show ads. They needed that verification stuff just to oust adblockes, nothing else.

because that’s how the system changes for the better? or is that how those subservices get big enough to be forced into being noticed by fascist capitalists?

Good systems are immune to fascist capitalist normies dont fund them because they’re slightly less convenient due to having no funding

INB4 we start having to evade roving bands of wardriving FCC goons to connect our pirate radio mesh networking node just to watch Peertube over TOR.

Shit, my Google account is old enough to drink liquor, so if them motherfuckers try that face ID shit on me, I already got my backup plan on Proton.

Don’t wait for them to cross the line. Just toss them over the edge and commit to proton. It’s heading thta way anyway. No need to delay

Albeit a bit slow, I’ve been gradually stepping down from the clouds…

I’ll get there eventually, plus it’s a nice bonus that I recently acquired two 4TB hard drives and one 2TB…

Can’t go back to work because you were replaced by the device that made the video you were watching

Come to think of it, it can handle leaving comments under the video too. And watching it for you - you might as well just read its summary. And it can create avatars to react to the video on other channels. There’s really no need for you to even be here.
