minus-squareTriangleSpecialist@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up22·15 天前Sounds like a potentially great gameplay mechanic for a puzzle platformer.
minus-squareDaefsdeda@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkarrow-up8·15 天前Gravity rush? I don’t know though, never played or saw it. I just remember the mechanic where you decide which way gravity is.
minus-squareTriangleSpecialist@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up3·15 天前Oooh I’d never heard of it, that looks cool! I’ll check whether it can easily run on a pc.
minus-squareKiller@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up1·14 天前It’s playstation only, i think you can emulate the vita but the 2nd game is ps4 which i’m not sure has emulation
minus-squareAneb@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up8·15 天前Immortals Fenyx Rising has a similar game mechanic is I remember correctly.
minus-squareObliviousEnlightenment@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up4·15 天前It would be if you can find an elegant control scheme. Problem is, it has to be mapped to something, so you either can’t move or can’t use any buttons while altering it
minus-squareyermaw@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkarrow-up12·15 天前VR game. I can feel the motion sickness already
minus-squarepotoooooooo ✅️@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up6·15 天前First-person platformer with portals. It’s set on a cruise ship in a storm.
minus-squareTriangleSpecialist@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up5·edit-215 天前The movements consist mostly of backflips and power slides.
minus-squareyyprum@lemmy.dbzer0.comlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up3·15 天前VVVVVV did something like this, but if I remember correctly you could only change between up and down. Locoroco from the old PSP had a really nice mechanic of turning the world to affect the direction of gravity to move the creatures. Real fun game too. Finally, that I know of, the most recent implementation of the mechanic is in the game called Limbo which is quite nice too.
minus-squareTriangleSpecialist@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up3·15 天前How the hell did I forget that that was a thing in Limbo? I shall whip myself, and play three levels of Braid and five levels of super meat boy for penitence.
minus-squareyyprum@lemmy.dbzer0.comlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·15 天前I was going to say, no need to punish yourself for forgetting something… But if that’s the punishment I want to be punished too.
