I have been on Lemmygrad in the past and am interested in what makes Hexbear unique from it. As I understand it, Hexbear is more accepting of people who do not support “actually existing socialism” and attempts to be left-unity in its approach. Is there more to it than this?

For anyone who searches this thread in the future:
- Lemmygrad is an OG instance that goes back almost as far as Lemmy.ml. These two instances used to be like 80% of the Lemmyverse.
- Hexbear’s community is forked from the r/chapotraphouse subreddit, and moved to Lemmy in 2020 after the subreddit is banned.
These are the concrete differences between the instances. Any discussion of qualitative differences beyond is purely theoretical, as they don’t have any bearing on why the two instances exist.
I apparently do not have access to that CryptPad document, would anybody like to summarize what the ordeal is? In any case, while I am willing to give people the benefit of the doubt, any leftist who names herself after Anglo colonial geography strikes me as a bit sus…

♫ Tell me, whose land are you on, girl, whose land are you on? ♫
Wisconsin is a native place name (although applied to a much bigger area now)
Yes, from an Algonquian name of the Wisconsin River, right? But something tells me Wisconcom probably does not live in, on, or next to that river… Would be cool if she were living the Joshua Jones lifestyle, though!
My name is a statement of the location I come from. I fully accept that Wisconsin is a settler construct and am I living on stolen land.
I can understand wanting to say your general location, but why is it important for people to know you’re from specifically the 30th (and decidedly not the 29th or 31st!) Arbitrary Polity for the Management of Stolen Land? Beyond that, the flag?
What else should I use for my username? My mental disorder?

I do not deny being the same person who is in that page. I am here to interact in good-faith with other leftists without arguing over ideological differences. I am sorry you are assuming ill-intent on my part, but this question is raised in good-faith and not to provoke any drama.
The difference is that everybody on Lemmygrad is a liberal, while on Hexbear everybody is a liberal except for me.
Well, for starters:

Edit: I literally meant that we have PPB, didn’t mean to offend you
I am asking a good-faith question. It would be appreciated if you could respond in good-faith too.
edit: [Good Faith

What distinguishes poopoo from peepee?
if you post here enough a dope ass bear will come by your house and give you a high five
Hexbear upholds Comrade Paul K. thought, whereas Lemmygrad doesn’t understand that he is one of the greatest Marxists-Leninists-Maoists in the United States
