Target just had me do a weird personality test and a weird “one way interview” which is just you recording yourself awkwardly answering conversational questions about how you’d respond to various scenarios. On a time limit. With three attempts, and if you decide to rerecord, you can’t use the previous recording anymore
Meanwhile waffle house asks you like 3 questions via a chatbot and then asks you to schedule when you’d like your interview to be 😅
Personality tests are just star signs for HR. VARK learning styles is another equally bullshit thing I have seen them push before.
Recently started a new job and my interview process was one click apply with a CV tied to my account of what ever job site I was logged into, got an email a couple days later and confirmed a teams interview after the weekend. Follow up interview in person the next day and job offer about 10 mins after the interview.
Been working there a few weeks now. I think the trick is to avoid massive companies.
