        That wouldn’t make any sense considering the text is two people arguing with one another. Each one is facing a different direction.

        Edit: you are correct. For some reason my brain inserted a line at the beginning arguing that “violence can be effective at bringing about change” which turns the whole thing in to an argument between two yellow guys.
