I never read it like that until you just mentioned it. I’m not sure what the history of the name is, but it’s awkward to type for sure. Great reader though!
I love that the company listened to complaints and are bringing back USB-C. I love my little xteink reader, and it’s my daily reader now. But for right now, looks like this version is only available in China. I still support the company though, and I think we’ll start seeing them sold here in US soon enough.

From everything I’ve read, it sounds like the S4 is only going to be available in China, as Xteink reps have said there are no plans to release it internationally, but that’s not going to stop people outside of China from buying it anyway, and Xteink seems like the kind of company that changes course every 5 minutes so who knows what next month will bring.
I really wish companies would stop redesigning things … I wanna buy the same shoes I bought in 2013, and I want the same devices I had in 2016, just with USB-C and updated guts.
The look of the OS didn’t need to change, even if the setting list needed to expand or the security backend needed an upgrade.
Heck, I put extra work into making sure every PC OS still looks like the one I used in 2012.
I don’t mind updates like better use of resources, stronger screens, different colors, etc. But I definitely don’t like redesigns that are done just for the sake of redesigning. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
