The ongoing issue of… not building enough housing for different income brackets and lifestyles? I love my lil shoebox. I need more yard than those people but its a good amount of house for a bachelor.
I have a house built in the 50’s that does indeed dwarf those…whatever the fuck they are. It was built as a 2 bed 1 bath, a wall has been knocked through to make one of the bedrooms into part of the main room…It’s maybe 700 square feet? The issues are, it’s badly laid out and it’s full of my ancestors’ shit. Also it’s badly oriented in a bad location.
I would be fine if the building was smaller, if it was designed by someone who’s head isn’t full of lead. If I do go about building my own home, it’s going to be smaller than this one. And the bedroom will have one dresser in it, not four. And I’ll have one living room with one couch in it, not two. And I won’t bother with a 6-place dining room table.
