From politicians to VC firms, everyone is falling out of love with the massive, money-oriented, global technology titans. In their place, we have the chance to build something open and trustworthy.
Because it happened in the past as well. And the big tech companies were split, cut down, and destroyed. Big tech was not IT in the past but other “advanced technologies” at their time.
Just a few in the US - and they were all different at that time. They were all intertwined with politics at their time.

The problem is that money and political power is the same thing now.
Why would people who have made themselves rich by insider trading on big tech suddenly decide to gnaw off the hand that’s fed them?
