That’s the exact feeling the movie left in me too.

I created a playlist that just makes me happy, it’s a colourful mix of old rock (for example: Ram Jam - Black Betty), nerdy stuff (like Bo Burnham, Tom Cardy, Flight of the Conchords), lefty bobs (ex.: ZSK - Antifascista, Ska-P - Colores) and old cartoon themes (Arabian Nights, Ducktales, TNMT) with lots of quality german stuff (Seeed, Wir sind Helden, Knorkator), many epic rap battles of history and some really gangster british drill rap with a twist (like Pete & Bas).

It’s just… I don’t know, the songs are mostly upbeat, funny and energetic. I used to be mostly a metal guy, but with age came the conclusion that whatever makes me happy and gives me some energy to get through the slog of the day is just… good.

As are non-violence and peaceful.

You can be non-violent, without being peaceful.

People tend to buy guns and then do nothing. Buying the gun makes them feel safe and like they have done something. “When they come for me I’ll be prepared.”

When they come for you, it’s already too late. Earlier, far less dangerous, far less provocative, far less illegal (but still illegal) acts of resistance are far superior in what they achieve. Become active to protect the people they go to before they come for you, or else there will be no one left to protect you when they come for you.

Build community, waste their time, waste their resources, make their operations impossible not through armed resistance but through simpler, less flashy means.

They will try to sue you, jail you, hurt you, maybe even kill you… but that’s part of the plan anyway, better to resist while the actions you can do still have an impact.

This is not a plea against guns, but for action (even simple and small actions).

The US HAS a base in Greenland. Formerly Thule Air Base, now Pituffik Space Base belongs to the United States Space Force, (which Trump created) and used to station B-52 Bombers and shit like that to threaten the USSR during the cold war.

Akira Kurosawa + Toshiro Mifune = Some of the best movies ever!

Came here to write this, so many movie tropes have their roots in that movie and Kurosawas genius directing. Also the sounds and emotions in the original Japanese language are so brilliantly conveyed, it loses so much in dubbing.
