Oh Skyrim is on the Switch 2. But it runs so poorly and it’s so unoptimized that it makes it not worth the Switch 2 version upgrade. I’m just going to wait and see if they re-release it again haha.
Would you be cool if I shared this feedback to the Kagi team? I love Kagi and want to help it improve and grow.

I honestly want to play skyrim on the Switch 2, but I won’t because the input controls function so poorly and the framerate is subpar. I was excited for when we got the boost in power on the Switch 2 but Bethesda fumbled it. Hopefully they do fix Skyrim and that they launch Fallout 4 in a good state with a gold framerate.

I have been interested in something like this for me and my girlfriend. Do you know if you’re able to do the link cable stuff for GBA/GB/GBC games that require it? I appreciate your opinions on it and I hope you have a lovely day.

Honestly there isn’t really a difference between it being a digital license and a subscription. The service for both can go down and there would be no way to play them officially. There is Emulation but the average person wouldn’t really seek it out. It would mainly be the enthusiast that seeks out emulation.
The sub is bundled with the online play servers and you get a few extra perks for it. Nintendo is a business and server maintenance and costs aren’t free, now if they made it to where you need to pay a separate sub for the classic games then I would be upset and agree with you.
That is the benefits of having physical media, which is why I fully support physical releases. I don’t like game key cards for the same reasons why I don’t like digital. But if they bring classic games back with a subscription, it’s still a net benefit for those who use NSO since most game libraries are available.

Honestly it’s difficult to find these old consoles and games. A sub for them wouldn’t be too bad since most people don’t really play them that much. It’s more for the normies that don’t know much about Emulation honestly.
Plus the sub is reasonably priced compared to the prices of Pay-station and MicroSlops Xbox core. I introduced some folks into the world of Emulation due to the sub funnily enough.
Thank you so much! I’ll be playing on the Switch so wish me luck on my journey. I’ll keep all your advice in mind friend!
I’m wanting to play Outward, any tips for a survival newbie?

Yeah, I say run GrapheneOS for the best security on android on a pixel. The next best if you want an older device is to run DeGoogled LineageOS, I use a Pixel 4a 5G and it runs superb and it’s easier to repair. It also doesn’t have the extra BS most phones have now these days. Although I do use a few more apps, defaults should suffice. (Except for messaging use Molly a android fork of Signal or XMPP)
Thank you so much! I’ll keep that in mind and I’ll learn more to teach others about it!
I definitely will look into FieFed, do you have any resources you can point me to? I want to learn as much as I can to help teach people about the Fediverse and help build a wider web of folks going on and sharing.
It wasn’t due to only one instance, but more so the way federation works. They got tired of seeing a few political posts when trying to explore what the federated feed has and I ended up doing some work to help them curate a personal feed and set up for things they enjoy the most.
I’ve helped them curate what they want to see. But since there are so many copies of communities that have varying levels of activity that’s what also put them off of using it as a core platform.
For all my folks on android a really good chromium browser would be Cromite which is a fork of Bromite a really good privacy browser. I use it with Kagi as my search engine and it works so well for me.
For FF, I used IronFox for a bit. But it had issues with using alternative search engines as defaults. But it’s still a solid browser.
I recommend using the TOR browser as a heavy security measure and for privacy if you need it the most. Remember to change the defaults to the strictest security measures for the best privacy and protection from Malware (ads) and the works.
Honestly fragmentation is what keeps people that I recommend Lemmy away from it. They are used to the UX/UI doing most of the heavy lifting along with the more politically charged posts being there, my coworker who loves self hosting and tinkering tried to join. But was put off with how much more political things are on Lemmy and some Fediverse instances are and how hostile they can be with certain opinions. But I taught them how to curate their feed for more things tailored to their passions. But they’ve been on and off since there’s multiple versions the same community which feeds into the fragmentation issue. That is just a viewpoint from me, I’m still fairly new to the Fediverse and Lemmy. (Which I love how diverse it is and how passionate people are.)

No problemo! /ᐠ - ˕ -マ

Oh I understand, I just wanted to share Kagi as also an alternative as well outside this scenario. I am curious, are you no longer a Kagi customer and if not why did you stop being a customer? Maybe we can send them the feedback and they can try to improve.

Honestly for 5$ it is slightly better than other platforms. You get so much value if you use everything it offers and it’s better for privacy than other engines. But that’s just my opinion as a customer whose used it. They’re small and not as robust as the giants, but it’s sustainable compared to DuckDuckgo, and a fee others.

The video platform you’re talking about is called Peertube.
Also I say look into Kagi the search engine. It’s a paid one, but it has provided me so much value and they also take Bitcoin as a alternative currency in case the other ways to pay are gone.

Sadly BL4 got delayed, I hope they optimize the storage size so it doesn’t take 200gb+ to play. I am optimistic for more demanding games for the little console. It makes me hopeful haha.
