This is accurate. I’ve been flashing phones with custom ROMs for years now, and doing it through the browser makes it both dead easy and pretty safe. You no longer need to be a tech shaman to do it. Just follow the instructions and you’re good.
Also, if you don’t like it, you can always go back to stock Android (i.e. what was installed before you started tinkering). It’s pretty painless. So roll up your sleeves and explore!

Couldn’t agree more. I’m currently on the Pixel 6a, and in spite of having perfectly average-sized hands, I feel its 6.1" display is unwieldy. 6.8" is just bonkers.

Exactly my story. Putting stuff into and getting it back out of Linkwarden was way too cumbersome, even with the FF addon installed. I want to just Control + D/B to throw something inside / get something out of my bookmarks. Linmwarden’s preservation of content is nice and all, but I found I rarely if ever needed that functionality.
Floccus is its own standalone app on Android.

I set up KeePass yesterday and it works great, but without a server I’ve just been replacing the file per device as I make changes.
If I understand, with syncthing installed on each device I can point KeePass from each of my PCs/laptops/phone to the directory on my laptop server? This will also work remotely?
There are several misunderstandings here. Let me clear this up:
While there is a server-based version of Syncthing, you need no server to get all the syncthing goodness! Syncthing is designed to work peer-to-peer. Just hook up, say, your mobile phone and your PC and the folder(s) you’ve shared will be in sync - no server needed.
As for “working remotely”: while Syncthing can do that, I’d advise sticking to the default configuration, which means “LAN only”. As soon as both devices are on the same network and “see” each other, they’ll sync. This will cover most use cases anyhow. If you’re out and about, make changes to your database on your phone and then return home, your phone will talk to your stationary PC in the background and update the DB. For the odd case where changes are made on both devices, Syncthing will create a conflict file, i.e. you’ll have both changed databases and can merge them so you won’t lose either change. (Syncthing even supports versioning files, but that is for later.)

Those people have been fooling themselves. It has been clear for quite a while that the partnership would apply to “flagship” phones for now. That’s corporate code for: “phones that are unnecessarily expensive and chock-full with tech that most people don’t need, but buy anyway in order to (unsucessfully) impress others”.
