AI slop and far-right liars: a match made in hell

Oh okay, that makes more sense, thanks.

That too

Sounds like they should be called “regressives”, because they sure as hell aren’t conserving labour rights

KDE on Arch, aesthetically pleasing and mostly functional out of the box. There are some startup quirks, but that’s likely due to my LUKS setup which I will change with the next re-install. Already tried to fix multiple times, it’s too much of a hassle to keep trying to fix an <5 minutes per day issue.

You’re right, it is slightly better. Not really a concern here since this code runs only once per run for each unit test (and only for debugging, it’s not meant to be in the game release) so it shouldn’t be a performance issue, but still.

Oh yeah, I forgot to update the screenshot, yes. Thanks for reassuring me that it was good decision to use an enum!

Not to worry, the variable is local and the function is single-threaded.
The elif is a good idea, though - although I’ll likely go with a switch statement in the end.

It’s neat that this is possible, but I’d much rather not ruin my eyesight trying to make games on a phone.

Fair enough

Will do, and will post about it here (programming@programming.dev) at some point!

I was considering starting a TUI engine project but am not sure there would be interest or need.

Okay, but protocols seem less easily usable than services (for example, Matrix vs Discord/Stoat)

“would you still love me if I was a credential thief?”

Parrots are cool tho

Yeah, no wonder he was. If it happened to me, I’d start a channel called “Misandry Exposed” or something as soon as I got home. (Or at least I would if I didn’t know it was a more complicated issue than that. Or if I was just too upset to care at the moment.)

I think “stochastic parrot” is a terrible way to describe LLMs. (Not to mention most people don’t use the term “stochastic” a lot.)
“Slot machine autocomplete” might be a better choice.
Thanks! Will try to remember it for next time
Please don’t try to flush Portugal.
