My guess is that Lemmy is susceptible to that just the same

I.e. arguing to defun surveillance and instead invest in traditional methods

The first one implies there’s much more value to the product as it is today than the second one, it implies it’s jist a matter of small tweaks and the industry catching up in terms of adoption to the extent they mention in the title
