A friend gave me this firm ‘Sacro-ease’ pad/cushion, it’s about an inch (2.5cm) thick on the bottom and 2 inches on the top. Move the bottom up or down for best relief. Use it on my old chair all day, helps a lot.

Sundials date back at least as far as Egypt and Babylon. They’re still found in gardens and old cities. Can be tricky to set the time accurately! helps to have a compass.

I would again recommend that anyone doing online marketing and/or tracking be legally confined to the .COM TLD. Severe penalties for corporate abuse would include removal of all internet access. Less severe penalties might include a confiscation of double of all profits made outside of .COM during a deliberate infraction.
There would be no cost for any TLD’s outside of .COM; all regulation and legal costs to be paid-for by .COM - users.

So what? go read the damned science paper at the link I supplied instead.

It’s not like he had no way of thinking, “Geez, I don’t have the experience or knowledge or insignts to start the ball rolling on such a major decision.” and went on to do something useful instead.

Thanks for the pointer. Very informative insights into what’s going on in this area … news stories seldom take the time to explain these details.

Yeah! Like, hmmmm… was it really a storm that brought Arecibo down? Or … was the storm just used as a cover by ET hackers?

Well yeah. But that’s to be expected in astronomy, they have to keep changing the model as they learn more and more. Who knew 40 years ago that stellar atmospheres could broaden radio-frequency lines?
Fair cop … but society’s to blame !

“You’re Going to Have to Trust Us”
Is that anything like “Don’t Be Evil”? (Google motto, 2004. No definition of evil followed.)
Reagan once said “Trust But Verify”. So … where can we do that at? (and who pays?)

For years, just in case I’ve missed disabling some FF telemetry … Every night I disable networking. Mornings I start FF up first, and (once my -local- home page is fully loaded) only then do I enable networking.

Here’s a back-up, science paper on MOF from Nature with measured numbers. 8 liters per KG per day isn’t 1000 gallons until you get to 2 tons … but it’s about 200 liters per out of 25 KG … easily carried.

"The effects of temperature, relative humidity, and powder bed thickness on the adsorption-desorption process are explored for achieving optimal operational parameters. We found that Zr-MOF-808 can produce up to 8.66 LH2O kg−1MOF day−1, an extraordinary finding that outperforms any previously reported values for MOF-based systems… "

That’s a-peeling

Wow, that would save A LOT of lives

Same fella that just told the EU that the US is its child and always will be. Hmmm, how many parents take the advice of their young teenaged kids?

Holding on to one’s preferred human culture and values is not being ‘left behind’ in any sense … they may in fact be ‘left ahead’.

The sooner EUrope has a firm handle on its own IT ecosystem, the sooner it can tell the US to go pound sand. Macron is spot on.

Yeah, that would be a high priority item that I’m sure was part of the talk.
My view is that most technology is a tool, like a screwdriver. You can carefully and enjoyably use it to build something useful, helpful, enjoyable. Or you can use it like a psycho.
