Ditto. I just farted to look into this yesterday and found the trash guides. It was pretty incomprehensible and I gave up. I hope to come back to this thread later and see that someone has explained how to set this up simply.

I love this idea. I feel like it would give Lemmy some of the old forum magic of long historical threads.
Imagine every time a repost happens the comments are additive instead of separate. It would keep posts and conversations alive to have them continue to surface and be upvoted anew.
I really think you’re into something brilliant.
They’re actually all Hufflepuff
I read your whole site and find it very inspiring. My wife spent six months in Ghana when she was 18 and had a very life changing experience. I hope to visit some day and will definitely reach out if I do.
Though I had a successful career as a software developer in the nonprofit space, my current interests and expertise are in meditation practices and psycho-spiritual integration. My theory is that the way to a better world is through healing our traumas, personal, collective, and intergenerational.
It may even get in the way of climbing the corporate ladder!
Thanks. Just set it up on one of my computers. I’ll be doing the rest as time allows. There’s a lot I love about it already, familiar but with better defaults, and including search engines like SearXNG. I hope enough of us can switch and send a message to Mozilla, though that feels very unlikely to stop the enshittification.
Does it support containers and sync settings between installs on multiple systems? If so I’m in without hesitation.
Yes, and the intergenerational trauma goes back to time immemorial. Healing my own trauma has made me recognize how absolutely ubiquitous it is. I feel called to do what I can to help shift things for others, seems to me to be the thing this world needs most.
I don’t see an issue for it in GitHub but man I’d love a split screen version of the app, posts in a column on the left and a viewport for content and comments on the right. Keep up the amazing work! Thank you!
I absolutely adore reading about ancient humans migrating around the planet and dreaming into what their existence may have been like. Thanks for sharing.
I had such a frustrating time getting onto that site and trying to figure out their karma system after I made it in. Nothing I actually wanted to read or listen to was available until you reached a certain level of upload. I downloaded all the free leech stuff but nobody downloaded it from me. It was a huge waste of time and I gave up eventually.
This is how I have managed to maintain sanity a reasonable amount of the time as a parent. Thank goodness for working from home. About to take a short snooze now!
Anything from a municipal supply tends to be chlorinated, as opposed to water from your own well.
Any recs on a thin waffle iron? Everything is Belgian style these days.
These recipes look good! The second one is very similar to mine. I’m curious about the starch addition. What kind of starch and why?
I’d recommend letting the dough rest 20min before kneading. You may need to develop the gluten structure more to improve the texture. I find the stretch and fold method to be less time intensive and much more effective.
I don’t add steam for pizza, just put it directly on the hot stone. The oven should be as hot as it gets, and an extra long preheat will help the stone fully heat up.
What’s your dough recipe like? Here is mine for New York style crust:
17 hours later
Stretch and fold every hour three times Ferment two hours Split into four and shape into balls, oil, proof for 2-3 hours
Baking in a preheated cast iron pot works great and removes the need for a pizza stone and creating steam in the oven. My pizza steel lives in my oven and I put the ice cubs on the bottom of the oven so this ends up being easier for me than using a pot.
