This reminds me of my grandpa. He used to drive a semi truck and kids would always do the fist pump wanting him to blow his air horn. He also had a normal wimpy Volvo car horn on the steering wheel.
He would get kids excited like he noticed what they were doing and then honk the wimpy horn. He said they always laughed so much. Then he would toot the big horn.
Oh yeah if AV1 is so great how come there isnt an AV tw…oh wait…
Maybe Randy isnt somebody you want on your side in a legal battle or frankly anything else.
Who do you like instead?
I had a rule where I wasnt allowed to use a gameshark until I had already beaten the story mode.
So I guess the analogy there would be learn how to do the thing the old fashioned way and then only use AI as a tool to do it better.
Does anyone know if there are any plans to port this to raspberry pi?
Been there. Reason I didnt is because other people would bear the shit if I did. Im in a much better place at the moment but I felt exactly the way ypu do about the world.
There is a fuckload of propaganda, and a lot of it is meant to make you lose hope at ever seeing the system change. That makes the opinion that things can and might improve and you are going to be a part of it, no matter how small the most radical thing of all.
Genuinely what helped me through it was volunteering. Everything is shit wall to wall BUT this one tiny thing is better than it was because of me. Its a sustaining feeling for sure.
Keep hanging in there for the ones you love, and the ones that love you.
The main point is that the disk controller gets exponentially more complicated as capacity increases and that the problem isnt with space for the nand chips bit that the controller would be too power hungry or expensive to manufacture for disks bigger than around 4tb.
Relevant video about the problems with high capacity ssds.
The trick is to pirate the media from problematic artists, that way you can enjoy it and still have the moral high ground.
113 Years after the Triangle Shirtwaist factory fire and not enough has changed for the better.
If you like fedora as a base, you can install the Gnome version of fedora and install the Pop Shell. It has autotiling that you can turn on and off while you get used to it if you want. Its what I run on Nobara and it works perfectly fine for me.
My thought is that these people think that their smarter than everyone else therefore they are justified doing anything they do. On the other hand, anyone with a billion dollars got it by making a whole lot of other people poorer. And they ate neither actually geniuses nor benevolent in any other way.
The Phillip Morris CEO makes money by hooking people onto something that isn’t good for them. Tech CEOs are very seldom any different. Anyone who says otherwise usually has a financial interest in making you believe them.
Maybe not that much more complicated, but it does give a less experienced user a lot more opportunities to make a mistake that could result in data loss or just a computer that suddenly decides not to boot Linux anymore since a Windows update broke grub.
The most important thing to do is backup your data to an external drive. Unless you are planning on dual booting (much more complicated) you will be wiping out the entire drive that has windows on it when you install Linux.
This guide goes through the whole installation process.
You’re absolutely right. Everyone will be very worried and talk about the importance of security in the enterprise and yada yada yada until a cool new AI spreadsheet software comes out and everybody forgets to even check if their firewall is turned on.
But with that being said, if you have been looking for a good time to ask for cybersecuity funding at your org, see if you can’t lock down 5 years worth of budget while everyone is aware of the risk to their businesses.
Can, yes.
Should, maybe.
Enjoy doing, unlikely.
And for sure your home isp has all the email ports blocked upstream.
With all that being said, to call SMTP dead is wildly insane. I do figure it will die someday though. Probably around the same time of universal IPV6 adoption during the year of the linux desktop.
