Seriously FUCK razer. Their hardware is OK, but the software is such a huge flaming pile of dogshit. I had an old black widow keyboard that I was having trouble setting macros for. I figured a firmware update would help. I clicked update and it immediately bricked the keyboard. Turns out it was a known issue for that particular model of black widow and I had found posts from TWO YEARS PRIOR with the same issue and they never fucking fixed it and wouldn’t RMA until I sent several scathing emails. Also synapse liked to freeze and crash for no reason, to the point where it was completely inoperable even after a fresh boot. It needed a complete reinstall every few months just to keep it working.
Also went through two death adders in a few years. The scroll wheel goes soft and becomes erratic after a year, and the button switches are shit and start failing to completely actuate after a while causing double clicks when you single click and prevent you from dragging anything.
With that out of the way, logitech g502 is the best mouse ever. I’ve had the same one for a long-ass time, maybe 10 years? And it still behaves like new.
Keyboards are a whole different beast. Basically find something in the form factor you like with switches you like and has a good reputation and you should be good.
