The bans in Dutch schools are not only during the lessons, which they always have been, but now fully during the school day, having to lock away the phones at the start of the day and unlock them at the end, meaning they can’t have them during breaks either.

When I was a teenager you weren’t allowed to have a phone in class, some schools you couldn’t have one all day but that was a rule imposed by the individual school. I’m not sure it is a law but it is the government that decided they are be banned on all schools, so it’s nationwide policy now.

Not a very surprising result. I’m guessing we’re at the point where these bans are about to spread fast.

As if kids’ futures weren’t bleak enough, now you’re going to make the poor bastards pay attention in school?
