    I’m still trying to decide if I want to give it a shot. Got burnt out on Minecraft. Is it different enough from Minecraft with some mods?

      According to the developers its far more progression/survival based, closer to something like Terraria

      Clarification: I have not played it.

      Currently it’s still very much early access. The basic loop is gather materials, build work benches, gather better materials with better tools, upgrade work benches.

      Maybe check out VintageStory or Elsewhere? I also wanted to pivot from Minecraft, due to both burnout and Microslop. Both games are based on relatively famous Minecraft mods/modpacks and recapture some of the nostalgia while also being a new experience. I’d probably recommend VintageStory a bit over Elsewhere, but that is mostly due to my particular playstyle and aesthetic interests.
