It’s difficult to know who’s a dissident and who’s a spy or terrorist.
Iran just threatened to kill the leader of another country. Yeah fuck Trump and all that, but you aren’t going to open the doors to anyone from a country that’s issuing threats, especially a country that’s complicit in a lot of terrorist acts.
Russia is engaged in a sabotage campaign in Europe, so the reasons for blocking Russians from Europe is similar.
I mean I undestand the fear of enemy agents… but still…
As a Chinese Immigrant to the US, I honestly fear that if a USA-PRC war break out, I’d immediately get treated as a potential “spy”, so this is why I really hate the idea of “If you are from that country = Potential Enemy”, cuz I’m very much opposed to the CCP.
Unfortunately, we’re going to be feeling less keen to let Americans in while Trump is actively threatening our country.
I mean its always ironic when that happens.
Russian dissidents want to leave the war machine and they are banned from visiting European countries to defect.
And the US deported a russian dissident back to russia.
And now the US banned 75 countries from coming to the US, including Iranians who want to flee the regime…
