Yeah, but look how much I had to type instead of people taking initiative to fill a gap of ignorance. Some people did or already understood; the rest shot off downvotes quicker than a 5s DDG search, or followed Lemmy’s groupthink cascade, where the arrows become a poster for argumentum ad populum.

Which, again, also kind of really boosts that coincidence going on here. Should my own ego give a fuck, the projecting behaviour of a perceived many others’ ideas of how I should be could impact my social security. Fortunately, I just find it annoying enough to whinge about and couldn’t care less for my own egoism. This simply because I am rarely socially challenged, implying my egoism is similar to others—as we all expect of ourselves. So, I can self-assuredly assume apathy or misunderstanding from others, and that isn’t anxious for me at all. If it were a common occurrence, this could change things, and how people socially perceive me could come to the forefront of my ego, possibly manifesting into social anxiety.

Lemmy do be a strange place.

It’s not a wild thing for people to misunderstand the difference between egoism and egotism. You’re castigating the community over the misunderstanding of a single letter between a word that is common and one that is niche, and in a way that screams of your own ego.

Ironically, amusingly, your post drips of egotism.

          Yeah. It’s fascinating, no?

Entirely normal, but very overlooked. Food for thought when reading the OP again.
