German voters headed to the polls on Sunday for a key regional election in the ex-communist east where the far-right, anti-immigrant, Moscow- and Trump-friendly AfD is expected to secure an easy majority. Our correspondent Nick Holdsworth tells us more.

Easy majority ≠ super majority
That’s not how you use these terms in English usually:
A majority is more than half of a total, while a super majority is the amount of votes needed above a simply majority (usually things like 2/3 to do constitutional changes…).
Yeah, what they won is a plurality
Shocking. Within our lifetime Germany could have a national government again which facilitates the commission of genocide. Like the current one and the last one.
