We once came home to a pack of four cobs, each with a small nibble taken from the top.

    Thanks, kitty.

Story time: We had a cat named Mowie that absolutely loved bread and pasta. If you gave her a bowl of plain pasta she would eat it voraciously, even growl if you got close to her while she ate. She could finish a small bowl off in a minute. I have never seen a cat take suck big bites either.

We had to get a bread box because she would tear open the tops of loaves and eat the crust. It was kind of annoying but also funny because she would be on a loaf as soon as you took it out of the grocery bag. All bread had to go immediately into the bread box. This is how I know Garfield was based on a real cat.

Yeah my cat i had as a kid loved bread. He was always ripping open a bag. We too had to get a bread box. My cat would just eat the upper top part. I guess it was probably the crust he liked. But his approach would destroy an entire loaf even though he only ate like a 4th of it. Cause he ate some part of every slice.

My mom would be so pissed.

He always did it at night.

I used to have a cat who loved nothing more than fast food french fries. You couldn’t put them–or their containers–in the trash without immediately taking it outside because he would get to them.

He also had an opposable thumb (pterodactyly) and him holding a french fry in his little fist was hilarious.

“I’m cute, I love you, but I do whatever I want.”

Aren‘t they all like this? Never had a cat that was different lol

No! Not neccesarrily. If you understand how cats think they can be just as well trained as dogs. Shockingly hard to grasp the cats mind but they can be just as responsive with the right actions.

Dogs just think about more like us making it easier. A dog can understand that you chastising them is connected to the action they just did. Cats cannot. They need feedback to be instant and automatic. Also more than that too but ya know.

Most folk are cool with them just being how they are you know? No training needed, you do you lil’ dude so that’s what they do. And I love them just the same

I have met one sweet and loving cat who never caused issues, always wanted to be around people, and lived baths. A single one.

        I’ve known hundreds of cats.

My previous cat was so well behaved that at one point some friends and I left sushi we had just ordered on the table (in closed carry out boxes, but still) while we went outside for a quick 5-10 minute smoke. It didn’t even occur to us she might try to get it, and she didn’t. The gremlin I have now, I wouldn’t trust turning my back on him for 5 seconds in the same circumstance.

The Siamese cat it took care of for a few weeks was like “feed me or I kill you.” It seems that Siamese cats are lovely with the people they own, but not so much with strangers.

Obviously the cat ate all the locusts. Next time such a thing happens it’s a new wave. Poor innocent boy is working overtime punishing pests and you suspect him. :(

Thats a rock solid old meme from the before before times. In fact the meme is so old it could witness live and in person that in 1998, The Undertaker threw Mankind off Hell In A Cell, and plummeted 16 ft through an announcer’s table.

Obligate carnivore means that they have to eat some meat; it doesn’t mean that they should eat only meat

I constantly have to remind my cats that they’re obligate carnivores, but it rarely stops them trying to get at my (vegetarian) meals

He’s pretty good about not begging for our supper, but he does go crazy when we have Costco roasterie chicken. We’re cruel though and he doesn’t get any. He’s got a bit of a sensitive stomach
