That type of behaviour is a huge fucking red flag and not a rookie mistake…

Edit: the reaction is the red flag, not calling some actor/actress pretty

Does HER reaction imply confidence in any way?

Her being prettier than the actress doesn’t mean the actress isn’t pretty. Her escalation and need for validation is INSANELY insecure.

        • It absolutely implies confidence. And his horrified look on his face, well, fuck him. What an absolute shit reaction to your friend saying they’re better in some way than some artificial, professionally made-up fake persona.

No, your waifu isn’t prettier than your IRL friend, and if that were your reaction to your friend’s statement, kicking you to the curb is the least I’d expect from them.

Hard disagree. He didn’t say the actress was prettier. He said the actress was pretty.

If someone being called pretty makes you do defensive that you immediately need validation that you’re prettier… that’s textbook insecurity.

A confident person would simply agree or disagree without needing to compare the character to themselves.

Gun aside (which I can’t tell if it’s a joke or a 'Murican thing), the tone matters a lot. I could totally see my SO doing that in a joking, cutesy manner.
