Our far right parties have been propagating against caring for the environment for many years. This time, unfortunately, ”tech bros”, Project 2025 and idiot leaders of the west have unfortunately let the far right gain wind.

The current government in Sweden hates her. When she was abducted by Israel on board of a humanitarian aid ship in international waters, the government replied to the question of consulate services for their citizen along the lines of “well she looks to be fine, no need for us to support her.”
one of the annoying things about the climate targets that i think should have been done better is that they’re sort of static year over year, which means they get harder and harder to attain. sweden, which is largely fossil-free energy wise, has to work a lot harder per unit to reduce emissions x amount than, say, the uk, or poland. the easy stuff is all done already.
the curve naturally flattens out close to the top, since going from 99 to 99.9 is possibly even harder than going from 90 to 99.

The average Swede emits less CO2 than the average Thai. If Sweden wants to halt reforms while waiting for the USA, China, and the rest of the world to catch up that seems fine to me.
Nope. We have Swedes flying across the world on holidays to ”authentic” places where they expect at least the same levels of comfort and more luxurious experiences because it’s ”cheaper” and more money gets us more. We expect to be able to buy ultra cheap clothes and food, get ultra VIP treatments, ultra disgusting censored extravagances across the world and then come home and complain about only being able to afford to take four weeks off in Thailand at an all inclusive resort, while Thai and Pilipinos are coming here to be treated as slave berry pickers, masseurs (with happy endings) and ”au pairs” (domestic helpers with ”all inclusive”).
The not-far-right of us are trying to make an effort for us and for the world. But the far right have the wallets on their side and can lie without caring if they get caught.
